INFORMAZIONI SULLA FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY

DOMANDE FREQUENTI

Q.
What is The Trailer Is The Movie!?
A.

The Trailer Is The Movie! is a category of My RØDE Reel 2019. The category is presented by RODE Microphones and Full Sail University.

Q.
Can the trailer be of an existing feature film?
A.

It can, but only if the feature film is your work and has been made within the last year. The best idea is to create a wholly original trailer for a fictional film: the trailer really IS the movie. You cannot cut a trailer from any other film, like say, Avengers: Endgame.

Q.
Where is Full Sail University?
A.

Full Sail is located in Winter Park, Florida, USA.

Q.
Will RØDE cover any further expenses like travel and accommodation?
A.

No. The winners will need to cover any travel, accommodation and living expenses while studying at Full Sail.

Q.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND FULL SAIL IN PERSON OR CAN I EARN MY DEGREE ONLINE?
A.

It depends on the degree program and the experience you are after. Full Sail offers both campus and online programs across a wide variety of disciplines, so you can pursue your education from wherever you are. Whether you attend Full Sail online or on the campus in Winter Park, Florida, you’ll get the same access to industry experts, relevant and current curriculum, and industry-experienced instructors. Go to fullsail.edu to find the best degree program for you.

Q.
WHEN DO I BEGIN MY DEGREE? IS THERE AN EXPIRY DATE FOR COMMENCEMENT?
A.

Full Sail degree programs can be started monthly throughout the year, not just in the fall, which allows for real flexibility for the winners. You must begin your program within 2 years of the winners' announcement on September 26, 2019.

Q.
Can the scholarship prizes be split between multiple people?
A.

No. Each scholarship must be used in full by one person, and that person must be listed as a member of the crew on the winner’s and runner up’s entries.

Q.
I am an existing Full Sail student. Can I win the scholarship?
A.

Unfortunately, the scholarships are not available to existing Full Sail students, in order to prevent any perceived judging biases, and cannot be used as payment towards any existing tuition fees. However, we do encourage all existing students of Full Sail to enter My RØDE Reel.

Q.
How do I enter?
A.

You need to submit a 3-minute (max) short film that is a “trailer” for a larger film and an accompanying 3-minute (max) Behind-The-Scenes short film showing you using a RØDE product in the production. For the full My RØDE Reel Terms and Conditions, go here.

Q.
What are the prizes for The Trailer Is The Movie!?
A.

First prize is a $50,000 scholarship to Full Sail University, plus a range of great filmmaking gear from RØDE, Blackmagic, Zhyun and others. Second prize is a $30,000 scholarship plus a selection of RØDE microphones. For a full list of the prizes, click here. The scholarships are to pay for any on-campus or online degree programs offered by Full Sail University. Go to fullsail.edu for more information.

Q.
What does my tuition at Full Sail include?
A.

Full Sail University structures its tuition in a unique way that includes expenses such as textbooks, manuals, media, production materials, lab fees, technology fees, and other associated costs. The cost of a computer and software – primarily the Project LaunchBox™ technology package – is assessed through a separate fee. Project LaunchBox™ provides students with a laptop computer and media creation software at an educational discount.

Q.
Will credits from my existing university courses be transferable to Full Sail course?
A.

After applying to Full Sail University, you may request credit for previous education. To be eligible for transfer credit, you must have successfully completed courses from another accredited postsecondary educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education similar in scope and content to Full Sail courses and received a grade of C or better. Official transcripts will be reviewed by the Registrar’s office for approval or denial of transfer credits.

Q.
Can I transfer the Full Sail scholarship to another person?
A.

The Full Sail scholarships can be transferred to any person who is listed as a member of your film crew at the time when you submit your film. So make sure you include your full crew details when you submit your entry.

Q.
If I win the scholarship, can I choose any degree I like at Full Sail?
A.

Yes, the scholarship can be used towards any online or campus based degree program. Acceptance into any degree program at Full Sail is subject to the normal Full Sail University admissions requirements. Full Sail will help the winners to identify suitable programs they would be able to pursue. If the winners are unable to meet the admissions requirements for any of the Full Sail degree programs, or are otherwise unable to pursue any degree programs at Full Sail University, the scholarship prizes will be rendered void.
